UPDATE 10/25/2025: I no longer recommend cod liver oil or fish oils of any kind. Reports or fliers (such as TBI report and Cyber Polygon tri-fold) that include any recommendation for these should be read with this understanding. PhD and biochemistry expert Dr. Christopher Masterjohn is a board member for the Weston A. Price Foundation and disagrees with Dr. Raymond Peat that PUFAs are nonessential but this difference is theoretical. Their opinions on this matter both agree that PUFA should be limited to the greatest extent possible in the diet. The nutrients found in cod liver oil must be obtained elsewhere, such as from large amounts of cod for the full-spectrum vitamin D and grass-fed beef liver for vitamin A. I suspect that the Weston A. Price Foundation disagrees at this time with what Dr. Peat and Dr. Masterjohn recommended but when they get a chance to digest the work of Dr. Peat, I believe they will agree.
